Arm Lift – Brachioplasty Photo Gallery
The highly experienced San Diego arm lift surgeon, Dr. Paul E. Chasan, performs the brachioplasty procedure in his Del Mar surgery center to tighten loose skin on the upper arms, a.k.a. “batwings.” Excess loose skin is very common in patients who have lost a considerable amount of weight and in older patients who have lost elasticity in their skin.
Removing the excess skin of the arm is known as brachioplasty. In the paragraphs below, Dr. Chasan explains brachioplasty surgery and the results his arm lift San Diego patients can achieve through it.

What is an Arm Lift – Brachioplasty
The method of arm lift surgery is uncomplicated. The excess skin is marked and then removed. The incision is placed on the inner surface of the arm. In some cases, fat is suctioned at the same time. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and is on outpatient basis.
Arm Lift Recover Time
The recovery period following brachioplasty is approximately one to two weeks. Most patients are back to work within one week.
Not everybody with loose skin is a candidate for arm lift surgery. Some patients benefit solely from liposuction, only Dr. Chasan will be able to tell you which method is best for you.
